Muddy Catch

Had a lot of fun playing catch with Hayden, Garrett, and Will yesterday afternoon. Maybe with that little extra practice we’ll be a bit more of a challenge to our Thursday night opponent. Also learned that stretching before Thursday may be necessary in order to perform best… and not be sore afterwards. By the way, it was a little muddy out there yesterday, and this picture was even after I cleaned them off in the snow. Definitely feeling like (playoff) football weather.

Intramural Football

It was really fun to play at UW-Platteville’s football stadium during 4 West’s first intramural football game last night. Even though we didn’t get the W, it was definitely a great exercise, as only 7 (the minimum) guys could make it last night. Hopefully not as many will be busy next week so we can get a couple breather breaks. Looking forward to the next few games!

New Season, New You?

In case you’re feeling that need to get into shape for Spring, here are some exercises to keep in mind if you’re going to the gym (and some for if you’re not). Whether you’re looking to get that beach bod, or just trying to get moving so you’re not huffing and puffing while playing sand volleyball, these are some good arm, leg, chest, and core exercises to try!

Ice Skating in the MPSC

Thanks to Will, Liam, and all of the other Morrow residents that came to CPR’s ice-skating event. I will say I was not the greatest skater out there (peep Donny in the background here, the true ice master). This was definitely a great way to get up and moving during these winter months. It’s starting to warm up and spring is around the corner, but until then, make sure to find a way to stay up and active!

Dangers of Alcohol

Unfortunately, alcohol usage is typically a social norm for college-aged students. In other words, if you go to college, people expect that you drink alcohol based on movies and pop culture, and such. This is an unfortunate case because in the midst of these expectations, what nobody tells you is the short and long-term dangers that alcohol can cause. Take a stop by the new bulletin board or research on your own to see what these bad side-effects can be. Change the social norm, challenge the status quo, choose wisely.

Halloween Football

It’s been a while since I’ve been able to come home with grass stains. Thanks to everyone who came out to play some football; it was a great time! Even when it’s cold outside, there’s always something physical you can do, whether its bundling up for outside (unless it is really cold) or going to the PAC. Remember to stay healthy in between studying for classes!
